Writing Delights! Who to read based on the recommendations of your fellow authors !
You answered with vigor!
Last week, mathematician—scholar—writer—comedian, and all-around great guy
asked us for recommendations for new reads on his otherwise “sparse” list.To quote MIT Professor and Fields Medal Winner Gerald Lambeau—also a mathematician—from Good Will Hunting, you “answered and answered with vigor.”
I compiled the suggestions and Alex has kindly offered to restack this post on his Notes. I’m sure his generosity is appreciated by everyone on this list, but now I’m going to get weepy-eyed. So here’s the list.
RESTACKING
If you are on this list, by all means, please RESTACK this post or other restacks in the Notes section, including Alex’s.
If you want to take to heart Alex’s generous lead, please RESTACK this post or others restacks in the Notes section, including Alex’s. Help your friends.
If you think RESTACKING is really cool and will gain you fame, fortune, and (especially) good karma, then find that little button and help your fellow writers. Click on it — super easy.
MOST IMPORTANT OF ALL
Read their work.
WITHOUT FURTHER ADO, THE RECOMMENDED WRITERS
Professor Lambeau leaves no doubt:
You too can win a Nobel, a Booker, a Pulitzer, a John Newberry Medal, an Edgar, a Caldecott, or write a New York Times bestseller. You just never know.
Keep at it — and help everyone you can along the way. That may well be the key.
Serious question: who on this list do you think would win a battle royal fight to the death?
Awwww. I totally feel loved right now. Thanks.🥰
