Just wow. On so many levels. Choices are door number 1, number 2, number 3. I'm glad your writer-observer-brain, whatever door number that was, prevailed so we could share in this experience. I wonder what was going through Bodhi's mind... It would be fun to retell the story from his perspective, which would include your actions and emotions as well as the kid's, in addition to the smörgåsbord of olfactory input. Ha, we are but characters in our pets' stories. I hope we favorably comport ourselves, but I doubt it. That's because I have a cat. I would have come off much better in my Corgi's story of She Who Rubs My Belly and Lets Me Lick the Spoon. Insert Gallic shrug.

I am not sure I would have had your grace. I would have liked to rip that kid a new one, but that’s not in my nature and had I tried, I would have embarrassed myself. Good job.

So YOU'RE "the" Starlin. I saw Starlin Statistics cited in a McKinsey White Paper on the commercial real estate market in the Baltic States. I used 76 pages as fire starter that winter.

I kept the remaining page, on which you are cited in footnotes 42 and 48, had it framed at a local shop, and gave it to a friend for his birthday.

Good one Ben! I wish I could be as confident as you about the fossilized remains you describe being just Gen Z. I see so many people walking through the world in a state of oblivion. Absolutely no S.A. We shall be rather easy to conquer by whatever forces the Universe decides. 🙄

I recall my first business 'mobile' phone of circa 40 years ago that came with its own cumbersome battery pack carried over the shoulder. Carrying it around you both kept fit and kept in touch! Little did I imagine then how speedily they would change our lives ....
